Guitarist, composer, musician
The fact that Fabian Zeller is considered a virtuoso magician on his instrument is confirmed not least by guitar legend Carlo Domeniconi:
"The guitar needs musicians like this."
Whether as a sought-after soloist with orchestras such as the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra with the world-famous "Concierto de Aranjuez", with his world music solo programme, from which the CD "NovoMundo" was released in 2018, or in projects such as the Duo Resonado or the groove jazz band Flowin Tension - the young artist is gaining international recognition both at highly respected music festivals and in concert halls in Latin America, Asia, Africa and the major European cities.
His concerts are regarded by audiences and the press as "guitar fires" (Ostseezeitung).
His compositions are published by the renowned publishers Acoustic Music and Edition Margaux Berlin, among others, and are interpreted by renowned musicians worldwide.
Fabian Zeller studied in Germany and on a DAAD scholarship in Brazil and is one of the few musicians selected to take the "Acoustic Guitar Jazz/Rock/Pop" masterclass at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden. Since 2021, he has been a lecturer for guitar and ensembles at the Landesgymnasium für Musik in Dresden. He is co-founder and artistic director of the "Gitarrenfestival Dresden".
Fabian Zeller can be booked as a solo artist, in a duo with the Venezuelan violinist and singer Alejandro Carrillo (as Duo Resonado) or with a female singer, a saxophonist, a percussionist and also with larger ensembles and bands.
About the Duo Resonado:
Celebrated by the press as a "Grandiose Duo", Duo Resonado inspires its audience with passion, rousing and virtuosity. The Venezuelan violinist and singer Alejandro Carrillo and the German-Portuguese guitarist and composer Fabian Zeller present a unique repertoire in which stylistic boundaries are broken down and new bridges created, and creativity knows no end. Whether with traditional music from Venezuela and Brazil, or with tango nuevo, Latin jazz, classical music and original compositions - the two artists enchant their listeners with imaginative arrangements and take them on a journey through their diverse world of sound. They are always keen to experiment and leave room for refreshing improvisation. Duo Resonado has been on tour since 2012 and has already gained international recognition at music festivals such as the Bamberg Guitar Days.
The Venezuelan violinist and singer Alejandro Carrillo played his first concert as a soloist at the age of four. Since then, he has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the "Orchestra Filarmonica Nacional" de Venezuela.
As a member, he plays with orchestras and ensembles such as the "Orchestra Simon Bolivar", "Filarmonica de Jalisco", "Neues Kammerorchester Potsdam" and "Bolivar Soloists" and is a co-founder of "Alcaba, El Cuarteto de Venezuela" and the Duo Resonado.
He has been playing Latin American folklore since early childhood.
Numerous concerts in Latin America and Europe with his family's quartet "Alcaba" as well as competition prizes such as 1st prize in the "Maurice Hasson" competition (2004) have earned him great recognition. Alejandro Carrillo studied violin at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre with professors such as Ulf Wallin, Stefan Hempel and Axel Wilczok.
Since the 2018/2019 season, he has been the 1st concertmaster of the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck.
