Stage show "Frauenzimmer"-more over than under
Quotes from Wiesbadener Kurier, February 2026:
"The actress and singer Marie Hartmann thrilled the audience at Künstlerhaus43 with her brilliant programme Frauenzimmer."
"Permanent smiles in the audience"
"wonderfully performed songs"
Women are the theme of this stage show. Marie Hartmann presents a whole range of women's themes in a lively, humorous and unconventional way. The German-language songs by Friedrich Hollaender, Trude Hesterberg, Ute Lemper and Georg Kreisler tell stories in which women find themselves.
There are the everyday problems of women then and now. Small, typically female neuroses are poked fun at with a wink. And, of course, the many dramatic and sometimes heartless facets of love have their say.
Marie Hartmann's transitions to the following song are crazy and funny, cheeky and frivolous. One moment she embodies a seductive femme fatale, a lady of the elegant salons of bygone times, and the next she eccentrically turns everything into the weird and ridiculous. She is heartbreakingly sad, then flirtatious and nefarious.
Songs, quirky scenes and stand-up comedy alternate in an entertaining programme.
