In the age of computer grooves and acid jazz, three experienced professional musicians have indulged in a shared love: The "hot jazz" of the 20s and 30s. "Back to the Roots" is the motto and thus back to the roots of New Orleans jazz, which stimulates the musicians' joy of playing with its exuberant cheerfulness and thus immediately sparks the audience.

Both the classics of old jazz, such as "Oh when the Saints", "Muskrat Ramble", "Royal Garden Blues", "Do you know what it means....", "St. James Infirmary", "Hello Dolly", as well as rarely played pieces in witty arrangements of their own are part of the Jazz Gangsters' programme.
