Only with the Jazzpolizei! The trio of police officers on patrol here are not real, but are all musicians from the "Jazzpolizei" from Berlin. And they have it thick as thieves behind their ears: Even the band's name is an inside joke: "Jazzpolizei" is the name given in musical circles to hypercritical jazz musicians who criticise every wrong chord. Throughout Germany, this marching band, dressed in uniforms with oversized police caps, demonstrates that you can actually sing over a megaphone and radio microphone. On their instruments - trumpet, banjo and sousaphone - the three gentlemen are no match for anyone else: This is acoustic swing and Dixie at its best. Incidentally, the Jazzpolizei is one of the few German Dixie bands without a lawyer or dentist.
