Niklas on Sax

Born in Sweden, he began his professional music career in 1987 in the West Berlin club scene after completing classical saxophone training. Over time, he has developed his very own style and always adapts his improvisation to the DJ's tracks so sensitively that you often forget you're listening to a live musician at work. Over the course of 28 years, some 1000 performances must have made a positive contribution.

Using his original technique, Niklas on Sax was the first saxophonist in Europe to improvise to DJ sets in the Tekkno genre in the early 90s.

He also demonstrates his enormous musical versatility and adaptability by improvising during dinners, receptions and other special occasions. Niklas on Sax plays at corporate events and regularly for the Nordic Embassies in Berlin.

Niklas on Sax plays solo on request or performs as a duo with guitarist Nino Ruggieri. The musicians can be expanded to include percussion and vocals. Niklas can look back on collaborations with greats such as Mando Diao and Dr Alban and is probably the only saxophonist to perform with a number of tekkno DJ greats such as Ellen Alien, Cari Lekebusch and Mijk v. Dijk. In the video you can see him together with the Swedish DJ Danijel Alpha.

The artist works with a large number of different DJs and can therefore always suggest suitable DJs to complement the music according to the customer's wishes.
